Student loan overview
In Alberta, there are two sources of student loans - Canada Student Loans (NSLSC), sponsored by the federal government, and Alberta Student Loans (ALIS), sponsored by the provincial government. If you are eligible, you may receive both loans by submitting one application. The government of Canada provides about 60% of all student loans, and gives Canada Study Grants (CSG) to high-need students. The Government of Alberta provides about 40% of all student loans, and offers extra grants and bursaries for students with high financial need.
To be considered for full-time funding, students must be enrolled in at least 60% of a full course load. Assistance is awarded based on financial need, and it is intended to be supplemental to student and family resources. The cost of post-secondary education is a shared responsibility among students, parents, and government.

I went to Lansing for my parents old ski buddy get together. It was a good time, at least I feel it was. We arrived there around 6pm and I followed Robert, whos 16 down stairs. I hung out with his sister Krystina, 20. She left for some party of her own about an hour later, and I played NFS: Most wanted for a short bit. Then I went over to the drums they have set up in there. Now although I havent played drums EVER I was doing pretty damn good. Robert came down with his guitar and we went about playing random songs for the next 3 hours.
...I want a drum set now...

Merry Christmas.
Mine wasn't. I spent xmas day on the couch. Didnt move more than 5ft the whole day. Stomach was in dire straights.
So I ended up opening my things this morning and Im glad to say Ive got some thinking of what I want to do with my money. Although I also spent the day today recovering some more, so I missed out on all the great deals.
