Dear Die-ary,
I've always hated put-ups...HATED them. It's what i like to call the "prep suck-up" motive...where all the preps put up each other for the stupidest things in the world, like what they're wearing that day or whatnot...but me? i've never gotten one, never. And today was my last day in choir for perhaps my highschool career and we had to put up everyone in the choir, the time ran out tho, but still i was one of the last few who had never been put up. I felt so sad, it seemed like noone cared that i was in choir, and noone would care when i was gone. All i wanted to say was "i put up so-and-so because they were able to look past my appearance, which i think can be intimidating in this class, and worked really hard in class this year."...That's all i wanted to say...and yet, i wasn't able to. It makes me feel so sad and depressed on how people will look at each other on the outside when it's really the inside that counts.
I would like to put up a little sixth grader that rides my bus. She looked past how i looked and sat down next to me and talked to me at the beginning of the year. And now she's dressing more the ways she wants to, kinda like me. Even tho she doesn't really sit next to me anymore partially cuz someone else is sitting w/ me or whatnot, she still was excited to show me her armwarmers she made and wave hello to me. Like today. She made me feel wanted.

“Pu ekaW,” a hand pushed against Kira’s shoulder, shaking her a little. She grumbled and turned over in her sleep.
“Pu ekaW!” The voice sounded agitated and Kira felt her hair being pulled.
“Cdub!!!” She shouted in Tithen and struggled to sit up, realizing almost instantly that her wrists were still bond, though her feet were free. A wood nymph crouched over her, hair as green as leaves in spring spilling down one bark-like shoulder. “You know, staring is rude,” Kira yawned, trying to stifle it with her hands, which she found out were numb from lack of circulation.
“I’m sorry,” the nymph started, looking rather agitated. “I’ve been trying to wake you up for almost twenty minutes. The master wants to see you after you have dressed and eaten.” She stood there, wringing her hands fretfully, “I daren’t make him angry…”
Kira nodded, the nymph’s master did look like someone who would lose his temper easily. Her stomach grumbled, complaining about a lack of food. The nymph smiled a kind smile.
“Well, it looks like you could do with a nice warm meal.” Her hands fluttered over Kira’s wrists. “Allow me to introduce myself, I am Willow.” Her accent was warm as cinnamon rolls fresh out of the oven, spicey and sweet. “I will be your guide, and later on your mentor in my master’s castle. But enough talk for now, let’s get you bathed, dressed, and taken care of.”
Kira smiled, Willow made her feel right at home, she looked down and her wrists and realized that they were unbound. She rubbed them, hoping the circulation would come back; she’d look funny trying to handle a fork with her elbows. She looked up, Willow had her back to her, rummaging through a drawer of the vanity, green hair reflecting in the mirror. She turned around, holding up one of the most beautiful dresses Kira had ever seen.
It was a midnight blue no Glentithen tailor could ever be able to dream of. The cut was plain, but the sleeves billowed out as if they floated on the air. Kira’s eyes grew as round as saucers as she gingerly touched the fabric. It was as smooth as silk, and as soft as velvet..
“Do you like it?” Willow smiled widely, “I made it myself.”
“It…it’s beautiful....” Kira sighed.
Willow flashed a room-warming grin and gathered up some items; a towel, brush, comb, various bottles, and the dress. She opened the door to the corridor and beckoned Kira to follow. They passed many doors and corridors, Kira trying to memorize where everything was when Willow pointed them out like the kitchens and great hall. Soon they were in a small corridor, Willow walked up to a door that was painted a deep-sea blue and opened it, Kira following close behind her.
Inside was a bath built in the ground as large as a lake. Blue waters lay tranquil, looking like a stone. Kira knelt down and touched the water lightly, gasping she stood up quickly. The water was as warm as blood.
“Just pull the bell pull when you’re done,” Willow called as she walked out of the door, and Kira could hear the snap of a lock as it shut.
She shivered involuntarily and started taking off her blood and mud stained clothes. Tossing them into a pile, she walked into the bath. Shuddering at the warmth, she ducked her head under. Reaching for the bottles, Kira stopped. The room’s walls were all mirrors; it was very disconcerting for Kira to see her naked self reflected so many times. Grabbing a bottle from beside the bath, she sank back in the water up to her neck and started rapidly rubbing the sweet-smelling substance in her hair. Kira didn’t want to stay in the bath too long, especially with all the mirrors in the room, so she hurriedly finished bathing and scrambled out of the warm water and wrapped herself in a large, fluffy towel.
Once Kira had dried herself off, she put on the midnight blue dress. It felt like a second skin, clinging to her in all the right places and fitting perfectly. Picking up the brush, she started brushing her hair until it shone, sending sparks of gold in the air. Looking in the mirror, Kira scrutinized her appearance, then deeming herself worthy of going out in public again, she pulled the bell pull.
Willow came almost immediately, smiling when she saw the dress on Kira. “It suits you well, my dear,” she stated and motioned for Kira to follow her, leaving the pile of clothes in the bath.
When they reached the kitchens, Willow ushered Kira to a homely looking table and told her to sit down saying, “you just set yourself down there, my dear. I’ll go and wangle the head cook into making you some breakfast.”
Soon a plate of steaming hot pancakes with syrup and bacon was set before Kira by a smiling Centaur. “Eat up honey,” he said, flashing teeth that would make a dentist jealous.
Kira nodded and within minutes the delicious meal was gone. The head cook’s grin grew even wider and he offered seconds, but she declined, saying that she was quite full and that the food was spectacular. The head cook, whom Kira found out was called Cookie, bowed her and Willow out of the kitchens, promising to cook up some sugar cookies or something in his spare time. Kira smiled, waved, and followed Willow’s retreating back. Soon they were outside a magnificent gold and mahogany door with hinges as large as Kira’s head.
“This is my master’s study,” Willow whispered in reverent tones. “I can only show you the door, you must open it and go in.” She smiled a nervous smile at Kira, “I’ll be here when you get out.”
Kira reached out a trembling hand and took hold of the large doorknob.
“Don’t you people ever learn to knock?!” A deep voice came from behind the door. “Well come in.”
Kira stood stock still, terrified half to death.
“Come in!” The voice shouted.
Glancing back at Willow, who gave her an encouraging grin, Kira slowly opened the door and stepped quietly inside.

My modern day version of little red riding hood
Once upon a time there was a girl who hadn't seen her mother for several years, ever since she was put in an orphanage. Her mother said that she couldn't go and see her until she outgrew all the clothes in a big bag the orphanage had and was kicked out. So the girl tired to grow and over time she outgrew all the clothing the orphanage had. So they kicked her out, giving her money for the road and some sandwhiches for lunch, as well as a long, red hooded coat with silver buttons. She packed away the food and money in a small, brown satchel, put on her new coat, and left the orphanage with the morning bus commute to the city.
Walking in the city on her way to her mother's, she met a serial killer who looked like a wolf. He asked the girl if she'd be taking the path of melancholy or the path of despair. When she said that she would be taking the path of melancholy, the serial killer hurried off down the path of despair and killed the girl's mother. He sat on her mother's bed, cradling his knife in his hands when the girl rang the doorbell.
"Mother, it's me!" she called out.
"Open the door and come in, it's unlocked." the serial killer called back.
The girl tried to open the door, but it was locked so she opened a window and climbed through.
"Mother," she called, "i'm hungry!"
"There's some meat on the table."
The girl sat down at the table and ate the meat. A black cat came up to her and said, "That's your mother's flesh you're eating."
"Mother! A black cat says i'm eating your flesh!" The girl cried out.
"Splash some water at it and it will go away."
So the girl splashed some water from the sink at the cat and it went away. By and by the girl felt thirsty and called out,"Mother, i'm thirsty!"
"There's some cranberrie juice in the fridge."
The girl poured herself a cup and drank the juice. The black cat came up to her again and said,"That's your mother's blood you're drinking."
"Mother! The same black cat says i'm drinking your blood!" The girl cried out.
"Throw your coat over it to shut it up and make it go away."
So the girl threw her new coat over the cat and it ran away. Yawning, the girl rubbed her eyes and said,"Mother, i'm sleepy..."
"Take off your shoes and climb in bed."
So the girl kicked off her shoes and climbed into the bed in the dark room. She squinted at the dark shape next to her and said,"Mother, what short hair you have."
"I cut it while you were away, my dear."
"Mother, what small eyes you have," she said.
"I've gotten bags under my eyes since you were gone, my dear."
"Mother, what a big shirt you have on," she said.
"I 've gained some weight in the past few years, my dear."
"Mother, what a sharp knife you have!" She cried.
"All the better to kill you with, my dear!!"
And then the serial killer killed little red riding hood.

*it's still ed, still evilly updating her journal*
’/’/(^-_-^)\’\’\>2
Kira was dreaming, she was in the meadow by her castle, picking berries with Lara. The sun was out, shining gently upon her back, birds were singing, and the berries shimmered like rubies, begging to be picked. Lara reached down and picked a handful of them, offering one to Kira, she dropped the rest in a basket at her side. Kira shook her head, motioning for Lara to eat it. Lara set the jewel to her lips then all of a sudden, she slumped over her basket.
Kira bent over to see what was the matter and gasped. Blood stained the front of her sister’s clothing, and her eyes were glassy in death. Kira heard laughter, evil and as cold as ice, behind her and tried to wake Lara up. But she wouldn’t wake up…
~*~
Kira opened her eyes, escaping from her hellish dream. She was lying in a bed in a dark room. Struggling to sit up, she realized that her wrists and ankles were tied tightly together. She surveyed the dark room as best she could. She was sitting/lying on a large bed with a canopy in the center of the room; across from the bed was a vanity with a large mirror. There was a door, most likely locked, on one wall, and a glass door leading to a balcony on the opposite wall. Moonlight shining through the glass gave the room an eerie glow, lighting up the mirror on the vanity.
Kira stared blankly at it, studying her features. She was medium height and medium build, with dark brown hair long enough to reach halfway down her back, framing a plain yet pretty face. Her eyes were hazel and slightly slanted, giving her a faerie-like look. She sighed, wondering if this was all just a dream and that she’d wake up and see her sister and brother-in-law alive, but the pain that the rope around her wrists and ankles gave her told her otherwise that she was awake, that Lara and Kentaro were, in fact, dead, and that she had been abducted by a long haired Fae with unearthly red eyes.
Then, the door opened. The flash of light that followed blinded Kira, and as she blinked owlishly in the sudden glare, the man appeared. He had changed from his dirty dirt and mud streaked armor to a blood red tunic with a black cloak around his shoulders, fastened by a silver chain. His hair lay free against his back with an unearthly glow.
“You,” Kira hissed as the Fae shut the door and walked towards her. “Why the hell am I here?!”
“I see that you’re finally awake,” his voice purred.
“You fuckin’ bastard!!!” Kira struggled against her bonds.” You fuckin’ killed my sister!!!!!”
“For one,” he held up a finger, “my parents were married for quite a few years before they had me.” He walked closer, red eyes shining, rendering Kira speechless. “Another thing is that I had to kill your sister, otherwise she would have given birth to an heir, and the throne would never be passed down to you.” He stated matter-of-factly.
“W-who are you…?” she trembled, he knew all about her and her family.
“Me? I’m the ruler of Morlat, king Nemphis,” he bowed mockingly.
Kira’s eyes grew as big as oranges. “You…you’re the k-king of Morlat?!” She fell back against the headboard of the bed and began to mumble fiercely to herself, “oh shit. I can’t believe I saved my father’s biggest enemy. My biggest enemy. This can’t be happening…this can’t be happening…this can’t be happening…this can-“
Nemphis strode over and slapped her on the cheek, dragging her out of her stupor. “I think you’ve had enough shock for today,” he said, stroking her hair. “I’ll speak to you tomorrow.”
“But-“ Kira tried to speak.
“Shhhh…” he whispered, putting a finger against her lips. “Goodnight Princess Kira.” He murmured something and she slumped back, asleep once more.
Opening the door, Nemphis looked back into the room, moonlight glowing on the sleeping princess’s face.
“Good lord,” he muttered, “I’ve heard that she has a sharp tongue…I guess I’ll be finding out if the tales are true tomorrow.”
He walked out and shut the door carefully after him and headed to his own chambers, ready for sleep to claim him as well.

ummm yeah, wrote this friday night
Who am i?
i'm the one who puts on a new face everyday,
masking my emotions.
i'm the one who envies the clouds because they can cry whenever they want,
while only a few drops of rain fall from my eyes.
i'm the one who's always irresponsible,
losing things that i' only set down a minute ago.
i am the girl you always overlook in the corner,
dressed in black and uttering not a single word.
i'm the one brave enough to disect an animal without crying,
but am too cowardly to go up and talk to the boy i like.
i'm the one nobody ever sees,
hears,
feels.
i'm the one you probably mocked,
hurt,
ignored.
to some, i'm their closest friend,
but to others
i'm noone...
who am i?
i'm me.
huh? i'm not illegally on the computer, updating my journal instead of doing my geometry project...
ummm, yeah, i went to traverse city this weekend to watch me vatti run a marathon (his best yet too) and stayed at a place w/ an indoor water park. Me, being the idiot that i am, decided to keep me contacts in and therefore lost one of 'em when i stupidly opened my eyes underwater. Dear die-ary,
If y'all haven't noticed yet, I'm grounded. Grounded for two weeks from the phon, computer and mayhap even being able to go to friends' houses. So, I'm askin' me good buddy Rachel (he he, that's me!!!) to posty this fer you.
NYC was great, and amazingly enough, I kinda miss it (but she missed us more so she came back ;p). The hotel that I stayed at was only a few blocks from Times Square, pretty swooshin', eh? (she said it was really bright tho, all the time) Don't ask for too many details about the trip it'd take too long for me to enslave Rachel (that'd be me again) to type em out, so I'll stick w/ the main dealys. (this is four pages long did you know that?)
(Day by day replay) 1st day I wope up pretty damn early, rode on a bus to Detroit (ya know what, look at that name. Det-riot) rode a plane, then rode another bus to NYC. That night we all went to Broadway and saw Throughly Modern Millie...(I can't believe they didn't just sleep!) it was ok, I liked the 2 Chinese guys the best (ah orientals...)
2nd day we went and rehearsed for 4 hours (had to hurt yer throat) then we ate anywhere we wanted and went shopping (eck). Well, the choices were shopping, Ground Zero or Central Park. (I woulda gone Ground 0) Then we took a long walk to Jeckyll and Hyde, which was pretty spiffy lookin' on the outside but the service sux0red (ya know what I'd like to sux0r...) Then we walked back to the hotel. Duiven (the choir man) wanted to go to the Empire State building but I was tired and had just found out that morning that Rachel had won our bet (I got chocolate) and I had some cramps so me and a few other peeps stayed back.
3rd day (back of first page) was another 4 hr rehearsal then lunch (fooooooooood) we ate in front of the UN building but none of the flags were out and walked around a bit. I rode the metro therefore I had that song in my head for the remainder of the evening (riding on the metro) Dinner was yummy...umm...pizza...
4th day I slept in then walked to breakfast, which was farther away than J & H (pauvre KT) since the food wasn't ready, Duiven decided we'd walk to Carnegie Hall as it was only a few blocks away. After pigging (not snogging, Ben) We had either the choice of Central Park or the hotel. I and some other people didn't wanna stay (and get raped!) in Central Park for long so we got a cab and headed back to the hotel after a while, me w/ dad's phone talking to Mom. We decided to go to a flea market, I was talking to Rachel then (me again!) and looked at cool stuff. (she got a SOAD patch) Then we went to a pharmacy to get food for the next day, me talking to Ray (not me!) while ignoring the call on the other line (probably her father and/or mother). Dad came walking up as we made our way back, chewing me out in German saying we weren't supposed to leave the hotel w/o telling a chaperone (tsky tsky, KT-chan) Jessie Bulman was with us and was saying "oh my gosh" while my dad telling me my punishment in German (Jessie's so nice). And that's why I'm grounded and I deserved it too. (yes she did, tsky tsky)
(I'm gonna type the other three pages when I can feel my fingers again.)

Once upon a time ago
The day I met my love was the day I died
The skies were red in the sunrise
He was flying
Gliding in the air
Above the sun
Into endless light
Over the earth
Calling my name
Smiling
Then the vampires came
They swooped out of the clouds
They tore up the sky and replaced it with darkness
They took me away
But he came after me
He saved me
Before they drew my final drop of blood
I died in my love’s arms that day
All was at peace
He had saved me
“I will love you forever”
He whispered in my ear
“And I will love you
For all eternity”
My dying breath said
As I sailed over the sun…
Kira groaned as she heard her sister sing the sad song. She had been singing it ever since her husband, Kentaro, died in battle.
Softly, Kira tapped her sister on the shoulder, motioning that she was going outside for some fresh air. The older woman nodded, then continued with her work, wrapping her husband’s body in cloth so she could transport him back to the family graveyard. All the while singing her mournful song.
Kira sat down on a tree stump and stared out forlornly at the battlefield. Bodies lay all over, and tattered flags waved limply in the wind.
The two kingdoms, Morlat and Glentithe, were always at war. Kira’s father, King Alandar, was the ruler of Glentither. Glentithe was a patriarchal kingdom, but women still had their rights. As the kingdom was by the sea, everyone was to know the common tongue, Tithen, Mermish, and Glennish. Mystical beings like merpeople, angels, and water nymphs were a common sight throughout all the kingdom.
Morlat, on the other hand, was the kingdom of shadows. Found in forests and valleys, Morlattens generally were a more fierce people. They had demons, elves, unicorns, wood nymphs, and a lot of mystical beings. Some folks said that there wasn’t a human in the whole lot.
Glentithe and Morlat never got along, and their latest dispute was over a piece of land that separated their two kingdoms. King Alandar and the Morlatten king, Nemphis, had been battling for many months, but neither side had won. Kira and her sister, Lara, came down to the battlefield to care for the wounded, never expecting that Lara’s husband, and the future king of Glentithe, would be slaughtered in the battle.
“For all I know,” Kira sighed, “one of those bodies out there could be father.”
Then, to Kira’s astonishment, one of the bodies started to move. She stared, trying to fathom the possibility that someone on the abandoned battlefield was still alive, sill breathing. She ran over to the carcass, the body of a Moralatten, wrinkling her nose at the sickly sweet smell of carrion. The person underneath was struggling to push the dead weight up and away from them. Kira reached down and yanked at the body, lifting it up, then fell down, dirty and sweaty, with the body on top of her, pinning her to the ground.
Kira squeaked and tried to move out from under the body, but ceased struggling when she saw the person she had helped free from the body stand up.
It was a he, she could see that he had broad shoulders and a stern look on his shadowed face. She could tell that it was a man who had seen many battles. He was dressed in armor that didn’t look at all like either Glentithen or Morlatten, but the garb of a foreigner. He wore an unreadable look upon his face, which had chiseled features. His slanted eyes were blood red, and his hair as white as snow tied with a leather thong at the back of his neck.
Kira stifled a scream and triend to get out from underneath the body. This soldier was no ordinary man, he was a Fae. And the look about him suggested that he was in a very feral mood.
He grinned wickedly at Kira, sharp teeth flashing. She balked and stopped struggling, not moving at all. If I don’t move, then maybe he’ll think that I’m dead and go away, she thought frantically. She closed her eyes and told herself that she was sleeping.
He started towards her with the grace of a wildcat. Carelessly he tossed the body pinning her down aside and was reaching down when she opened her eyes.
Shrieking, Kira sat up, then jumped and ran into the Glentithen camp. Looking back, she saw that the Fae was chasing her, and ran into her sister’s tent.
“Lara! Lara! Help!!!” she squealed as she ran into her older sister, clinging to her.
The Fae entered the tent, blocking the glow of the setting sun, making his body look like a shadow.
Kira shuddered and ran over to a corner of the tent, behind a changing screen. Red eyes flashed and the Fae walked in, letting the tent door flap shut. Lara blinked, her glassy eyes clearing as she looked away from her husband’s body.
The Fae grinned a feral grin and lifted the sword that dangled at his side. Lara bowed her head, hair falling in a waterfall of gold. In the corner, Kira heard her sister sigh, then the sickening sound of a sword cutting through flesh. Trembling, she peeked out from behind the screen.
Her sister was crumpled over, covered in blood while the Fae nonchalantly licked her blood from his now-glowing sword.
“Oniko has been hungry for blood for many a year,” he said in an accent Kira couldn’t quite place.
He stopped licking his sword and stared at her, red eyes glowing in the shadows.
“Oh, I’m sorry, did you cut your tongue on…on that?” she refused to say the accursed sword’s name.
Grabbing a dagger she found behind the screen, she waited for an open space. The Fae leered at her, lips red with her sister’s blood. Taunting her to come closer.
“You bastard!!! You killed my sister!!!” she yelled, charging at his mocking face with dagger in hand.
Deftly, he dodged aside from her attack and brought the hilt of his sword down on her head, knocking her out.
“Oh, I’m sorry Princess Kira,” he said, picking her up, “but I’d rather have you as a hostage than a corpse to hold against your father.”
She sighed, and he murmured something into her ear, so that she would remain asleep of the journey. He didn’t need her waking up and trying to run away. Walking outside, he held up a hand and called into the heavens where a dragon was dipping in and out of the clouds. Carelessly, he mounted it, putting Kira in front of him.
“Take us home Ryu, home to the castle,” he whispered in its ear. “It’s time my subjects saw their king again.”

Chapter 2 Nightmares and Sweet dreams…
Her dream was like a nightmare that night.
Etoile was walking down the street with Aeric, laughing and talking as they shopped in an art fair by the river that ran by the city they lived in. Aeric was smiling and laughing, holding up an ugly, puce coloured sweatshirt up against himself. Etoile chuckled and placed a brown bowler hat with a red feather on his head, making him look even more ridiculous.
Aeric caught sight of a different shop, filled with stones cut into various shapes and styles. Slyly, he knelt before Etoile and offered her a gold ring with a diamond upon it. She smiled and moved to give him her hand, when a truck came speeding out of nowhere.
Suddenly, there was a crash, and Etoile was knocked unconscious. When she awoke she realized that she was in a church. Black banners were draped over pedestals and pews, and the cross before the alter had a crown of thorns pressed into its wooden sides.
There was a coffin, lid open to the public that streamed thru to look at it. As Etoile walked closer, she saw Aeric, face pale and eyes shut, in it, dressed in his Sunday best.
She stumbled closer…no, it can’t be…her heart told her, but her brain denied the hope that her heart had. It was definitely Aeric, the way his lips, now pale and still, always smiled. His light brown hair lay limp across his forehead, and his chest was still, no breath making it move.
Tears blocked Etoile’s eyes, streaming down her face. As she walked up to the coffin, the sobs shook her body, but nobody was there to comfort her now. Aeric, the only man who had ever understood her, had tamed her family, the man that she had…loved, was dead. Etoile knelt down over the coffin and brushed her lips against his cold, dry mouth.
She smoothed his hair and whispered into his ear, “I wish you weren’t dead…I never got to tell you that…that I love you…”
