I got loot!!! I went up to the trailer as usual, only found two morals, but they're late bloomers. I read Stephen King's 'On Writing', which is cool and now I'm pumped up about the possible career.

On the way home my dad and I stopped at Best Buy. We got a new router, then I spent some money I was saving for forever and got:

-"Counterstrike", which is the best first person shooter I've ever played
- Demon Hunter's "Summer Of Darkness" album! I've been wanting that forever! It's great.

Some sucky stuff... I fell in the creek and I still suck at driving apparently. But everything else is good! Hope y'all had a great weedend too!

*sigh*

I let my little sister borrow the laptop for longer than her allotted time frame, and I get it back riddled with viruses and wierd cookies and pop-up programs and whoknowswhatelse. It might as well have its disk drive stuffed with mud.

Apparently, from looking at the history, she fell for 'free mp3' scams. I can't beleive she'd be that stupid.

Poop.

[update 9:20 PM]

Hmm... I might have found the source of one of the pop-up apps. Please pray it's gone.

[update 10:15]

My dad got a new version of Ad-Ware, which took out a bunch of stuff except for one pop-up app that I'm trying to hunt down. It keeps changing its filename and its tough and I'm tired. I'll deal with it tomorow.

I got back from the band concert. It was sad, I realised that in all that time I spent moping around in band class I could've made some great friends, and now they're graduating... well, not next year! I'm done with that stuff.

*gasp* I'm going to be a senior next year.

I havn't been crushing for the longest time! What's wrong? Shouldn't I be? Everyone else is! AHH! I'm totally insecure!

Anywho... I was going through my very first entries and I'm happy to say I'm less wierd than I used to be.

We had pizza tonight! And I beat 'The Maw' on normal mode all by myself. *pats back* I'm a good Warthog driver when no one is around.

I'm back from the north. I found 18 moral mushrooms, one of them was huge... like as big as a bocce ball.

Not much else happened. I drove a boat at 42 MPH and I smell like burning leaves.

[edit 7:50]

Oh I forgot, I had a cool dream last night. Actually I had two, one sucked and the last one was cool. I can't remember it too well. It was one of those sad dreams I have where everybody is so brave and heroic and have tight friendships, but they all die in the end.

It was in the future in a megacity. There were huge buildings everywhere. Ugh, I can't remember it well enough... there was this dog, like a german shepard, and he could talk because he was a person that got turned into a dog a long time ago and he was cool. Then there was me, I was wearing something weird, like I was out of the Jetsons. There were some other people- a girl, I think, and another guy. Anyway, there was some robot contraption that would clinge to ledges in the buildings. It was metal and green and it looked like two hamburgers stacked on top of eachother, the top would open and clamp onto the ledge. We all ahd to stop it because it would shoot this electric ray out of the bottom and vaporise poeple through their windows.

This things was aparently good at some point, and it did something esle that I can't remember... then the dog died, and we were all sad, I think the robot thing got it. Then I had to crawl out on the ledge and push it off, but it didn't work and it got me, and then killed everyone else. A bunch else happened but I forget it.

For my mom's birthday I bought her tickets to go see the spring play, which we just saw tonight. If you guys get a chance to see it tomorrow, I'd suggest you go. It's a good play ('Our Town'), and everyone is good actors (grammer?).

Coleen, if you know her, got the lead part. She did a great job and it was the first play she's been in.

Looking into the lives of other people can be disturbing, you realize all the flaws of humanity- selfishness, arrogance, hatefullness, envy, etc. And then you start recognizing those same flaws that you detest so much in others are actually flaws that you yourself posses in some degree- maybe not as blatent, but it's there. Or, at least I do sometimes.

But because of Jesus, we can have God's grace and Spirit in us to combat it.

I finally got my Vietnam War protest song! It's 'The Draft Dodger's Rag' by Phil Ochs.

I'm just a typical American boy from a typical American town
I believe in God and Senator Dodd and keeping old Castro down
And when it came my time to serve I knew
better dead than red
But when I got to my old draft board,
buddy, this is what I said:

Sarge, I'm only eighteen,
I got a ruptured spleen
And I always carry a purse
I got eyes like a bat, my feet are flat, and
my asthma's getting worse
O think of my career, my sweetheart dear,
and my poor old invalid aunt
Besides, I ain't no fool, I'm a goin' to school,
and I'm working in a defense plant

I've got a dislocated disc and a racked up back
I'm allergic to flowers and bugs
And when the bombshell hits, I get epileptic fits
And I'm addicted to a thousand drugs
I got the weakness woes, and I can't touch my toes
I can hardly reach my knees
And if the enemy came close to me
I'd probably start to sneeze

(chorus)

I hate Chou En Lai, and I hope he dies,
but one thing you gotta see
That someone's gotta go over there
and that someone isn't me
So I wish you well, Sarge, give 'em Hell
Yeah, Kill me a thousand or so
And if you ever get a war without blood and gore
Well I'll be the first to go

Curtdog's Tattoos

Demon Hunter Tattoos! I want one! :D

Would you ever get a tattoo? I might, but my parents would freak out. My cousin got one at a motorcycle rally in Florida that said "RIDE AMONG US", which... I don't know. I wouldn't have gotten that. Everyone was mocking him for it and I felt bad for him because he was really embarrased.

I don't know if I'd actually get one... I've heard you can get hepatitus C from it and then you die from it. But that's only if there's unclean needles and such. I'd need to trust the tattooer, I wouldn't walk right into 'Wicked Ways Tattoos' in Comstock and say 'ink me up'.

Would I still want a Demon Hunter Tattoo when I'm sixty? ... positively. :D

In other news...

Happy b-day, Kelly! Funny how hippies came up in history today. ; )

About that last entry... I wasn't dissing romantic love, I know it can be cool and after all God made it... it's just the whole making it the center of your life thing that's bugging me. Which no one here is completely guilty of, I don't think, it's just that sometimes you guys get so caught up and torn up in it. :/

Well, I gotta paint a stick. Bet you all wish you were in second year Spanish. :P

Everybody listen up. Girlfriends and boyfriends aren't the way to go. You're trying to fill a big hole with something that won't fill it.

Maybe when were older and dating has a point. But right now, at this juncture, you should be having fun with your young lives, not agonizing over some person of the opposite gender.

As help to you, here's somethings you could do besides dating:

-Spend time with God
-Take a walk outside
-Write a book
-Do your homework
-Make a new friend

In other news...

I've found out that the secret to unlocking my ungoingness is joy. Joy, as far as I know, is a concious effort, and the ability to do so is given to us by God's grace through Jesus Christ. This'll be fun!

I was feeling like a failure again, but this came up again:

Jeremiah 18
This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD : "Go down to the potter's house, and there I will give you my message." So I went down to the potter's house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. Then the word of the LORD came to me: "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?" declares the LORD.

Cool, huh? Something to keep in mind.

And I Think I've found my home... The Not Cool Club

I had a great weekend, especially Friday.

I'm working on being more outgoing, so I'm going to just spew out whatever pops into my head for a week or so. I'm even practicing talking to myself. This'll be great! and kinda weird...

Peace, yo!

When -- Crash Rickshaw

Reached the top
Found out that there's nothing there
So I ask myself,
Where do I go from here?
No one knows my heart
or where I need to be
I can't sit yet.

Stay contentment,
please don't leave my heart;
Peace of mind don't go yet,
I've traveled far
Over many mountains to find what's good,
Cause life is precious when it's understood

I hit the road
with Psychology and Intellect running
under my blood
None of it matters when I'm dead,
so what is true?
They all can't be...
Then I found the truth,
He was right before my eyes

Now I have contentment,
it fills my heart
Peace of mind consumes me,
it wasn't far
As I looked to Jesus
I found who's good
My life is precious now,
It's understood

You know what's really weird?

Sleep.

Think about it, you shut down for 8 hours every day when it gets dark out. You're just lying there, like a machine recharging.

God is awesome. He comes up with the coolest stuff.

Um, if any of you caught that last entry, I'm sorry... but you probably didn't, so who cares, right?

I'ma gonna stop worrying about 'what's wrong with me' and 'what's wrong with them' and 'what do they think is wrong with me', etc. Confidence, courage and joy are my goals. Stay on the past only long enough to learn from it, accept trails, bravely rush forth in the storm of life, etc.

So, if you ever see me beating down on myself or others again, then... shoot me or something. I gotta snap out of this.

In other news...

We made $56 at our garage sale today. My neighbor was selling records for dirt cheap, all these great classics... I got ACDC's "For Those About Rock" and Styx's "Paradise Theator" all for only $1. Her record player had broke or something. She still has tons of stuff, I might get some more tomorrow... Van Halen, The Cars, Def Leopard, Queen, Pink Floyd, basically any great 80s band there ever was, except Stryper... ;_;
all for 50 cents to a dollar.
